Her current research focuses on the intersections between early life immunity and vulnerability to infectious diseases, specifically Tuberculosis, as well as the role of nutrition in shaping pediatric immunity. Dr. Lancioni has collaborated for over 15 years with Uganda-based investigators on studies focusing on the immunobiology of Tuberculosis, as well as several recent studies focusing on identifying determinants of survival for infants hospitalized during the first 2 months of life.
