Advancing HIV/AIDS and TB Research Through Partnerships and Innovation

The Uganda-CWRU Research Collaboration remains dedicated to tackling the dual epidemics of HIV/AIDS and TB in Uganda. With over three decades of experience, our partnership has led to significant advancements in research, treatment, and capacity building.

Recent projects include:

  • Innovative TB Diagnostics: Development of faster, more accurate tools to detect TB and improve patient outcomes.
  • Community-Based HIV Prevention: Implementing effective strategies to reduce HIV transmission in high-risk populations.
  • Training Healthcare Professionals: Providing hands-on training and mentorship to local medical personnel and researchers.

Our success is rooted in the strength of our partnerships with Makerere University, the Joint Clinical Research Centre, and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). By combining local expertise with international support, we have built a robust framework for research and innovation that continues to yield impactful results.

Looking ahead, we are exploring new areas of study and expanding our reach to address emerging challenges. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the fight against HIV/AIDS and TB.
