The Uganda Case Research Collaboration was privileged to be part of the Electronic Document and Records Management Training Workshop 2025 organised by the National Social Security Fund- Uganda (The Fund), themed “Go Paperless: Boosting Productivity & Efficiency with Electronic Records”. The collaboration was represented by Dr. Pheona Nsubuga, Dr. Timothy Muwanguzi, Mr. Kironde Yusuf and Mwesigwa Simon Peter Godwin at the 3-day workshop held at Munyoyo.
In collaboration with its strategic partners in the paperless journey—CPF Financial Services (Kenya), RIM (Uganda), and ADA Software Re-Engineering Services (Israel)—the Fund organised a workshop to showcase the advantages realised from transitioning to a paperless environment. The primary objective was to inspire other organisations to adopt similar digital transformation initiatives and provide insights on effective implementation approaches. The workshop attracted participation from various organisations across the United Kingdom, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Uganda, reflecting a strong regional and international interest in paperless innovation.
The workshop featured a series of insightful presentations delivered by multiple subject matter experts, addressing key aspects of transitioning to a paperless environment. Areas covered included the strategic rationale for going paperless, essential resources and technologies required, associated costs, implementation processes, and the resulting organisational benefits.
We extend our sincere appreciation to NSSF Uganda for sharing their digital transformation journey, the benefits realised, and most importantly, the actionable steps for other institutions to implement similar systems.
As a collaboration, we are inspired and committed to adopting digitisation practices to improve our operational efficiency and service delivery within our domain.
